Dress Codes

The argument I am proposing is that offices should have a more relaxed dress code. I believe that if dress codes are relaxed, employees will increase their job performance and overall confidence at work. This argument deals with human resources which is my current concentration in my major of business administration. This issue also arises in my current position at a bank. The dress code is business casual, but tattoos are not allowed to show when they used to be. This also touches on inconsistencies within the dress code. The first key point on this topic will be the overall performance of employees. It can be very stressful to find things to wear in the morning that comply with the company's dress policy. Not only it is sometimes difficult, but being in a collar-buttoned up dress can cause one to be able to not relax in an already non-relaxing environment. The second point in this argument is the showing of tattoos. Companies are hiring younger people which means some of them have tattoos. It should not be as big as a deal as it is made out to be for someone to show a tattoo. Tattoos do not define a person or their work ethic. The final key point is the inconsistency of dress codes.
