The problem is also how dress codes are enforced. The dress code should be a standard for all students regardless of gender. With that being said, all rules should be applied to every student. In many cases, female students are the only ones disciplined for violating the dress code. The excuse that is often heard is that "boys will be boys" or something along those lines but female students are the ones at blame.
