Dreamworks Vs Pixar Essay

DreamWorks and Pixar have been long time rivals in the movie industry. Many people argue over which of these animation studios is the better of the two. Pixar is the better animation studio because they are known for many box office hits like Up, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc. Although hits are all DreamWorks produces, they have only won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature for Shrek and Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Pixar has won "…Best Animated Feature Oscar seven of the past 12 years" (Hollywood). This gives Pixar a huge advantage over DreamWorks in the terms of each studios' success. DreamWorks and Pixar will always have a rivalry because they will continue to make movies and they will wait for the people to make up their minds on which movie they think would be better.
Pixar is known for producing individual movies rather series until recently. For example,

Most of both studios' movies have been really successful in the box office and been nominated for multiple Oscars. Both DreamWorks and Pixar have created amazing films, however Pixar always been the more successful animated studio. "From 2007 to 2010, Pixar experienced a 'golden age,' creating animated features that include some of the best movies of all time with Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, and Toy Story 3" (Hollywood). Although, DreamWorks has worked with actors like Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Brad Pitt on voice overs. Pixar will forever be a name that comes to mind when people think of animated films, however DreamWorks will always be a few steps
