George Orwell’s animal farm allegorically depicts the author’s views on some of humanity’s most important themes. Orwell tells a story of the animals on a farm that are planning a revolution on the farmer and taking over the farm. Amongst the many themes in animal farm three stand out the most dreams, power and control. We find in that dreams can change the Couse of history, we find the even the strongest can be over weld by power and ultimately there’s always a thrust for control. Power can be defined as the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of events. One example of power is where the animals decided to make rules the farm which would keep all the animals in line and the power to tell them what to do with no chose and had to be obeyed. This demonstrates how Orwell views power as something that can control your life without even knowing what has just happened but having to go with it. A second example of power is the thrust for power which snowball and napoleon were craving for, this was hard for the farm to determent the stronger of the two but this creates a bit of anger towards each other because of the other one trying to over through the other one. This further depicts how Orwell’s views power as something that can take over the mind of weak and drive them into madness. A third example of power is where powerful people can get a lot of people on their side with the power of speech like old major which had to power to influence the animals on the taking over of the farm and the power to create a dream that could eventually turn to reality.
