I liked Walter Lee (Danny Golver) in the play, because he did a good job through his character. Showing us a passionate and ambitious man who tries to be a rich to help his family but because of his naive behavior has a bad impact on his family. All he thinks about that a business concept will solve all of his social problems. However, Walter wants to use the money to invest in a liquor store with his Willy Harris. Even though everybody tries to warn Walter against investing in the liquor store and shouldn’t trust Willy Harris. In the part in the play, when Walter discovers that Will took all the money and runs away, his reaction was so strong and sad because of his shock that he did not listen to his family. The costumes design throughout the play by Celia Bryant and Judy Dearing are fantastic that tells us about an interesting style of clothing at the time period of the play in the 1950s. However, I liked the costume design in the play because the design reflects on the personality of the actor. For Example, Beneatha costume represents her pride when she wears the costume that Joseph Asagai who played the role of Lou Ferguson gave her. On the other hand, Wlater's costume represents his gloomy mood in the play. In addition, Lena ' Mama' is wearing blue, green and brown costumes that represent her personality as a widow, hard-working and modest woman. Celia Bryant and Judy Dearing did a great job through their costume design to see many sides of each actor in the play. Moreover, the music in the play is used very well , the African music that plays while Walter Lee and Beneatha dance is a great Music because it shows and allows viewers to see how the heritage music impacted on Walter and Beneath as African-American people .

In conclusion, the actors and actresses do an amazing job through describe younger family. Each actor and actress shows a different side of their personality convincingly and nicely. It made the audience think about how could life be difficult for African American at this time of period. The elements that included in show from costumes, sounds, and lighting

M. a explains when the play opens, the Younger family has no clear leader. Its power structure is complicated, especially in terms of American norms. Because the American nuclear family was unabashedly patriarchal in the 1950's, Walter would seem to be the head of the household. Yet although he might (or might not) make the most money, he is not the family's breadwinner in the traditional sense, since Ruth and occasionally Mama also work.…

On October 28, 2017, I attended Desert Hot Springs High School’s theatrical performance, Love Sick, a play produced by John Cariani. Mr. Landmann is the head director of the theater department at DHSHS and was able to execute a great show with the help of his students: Matilde Alejandro, Megan Johnson, Bethany Navarro, Luis Salazar, Nathaniel Esparza, Natalia Martinez, Angel Limas, Esmeralda Hernandez, Esmeralda Salazar, Nicholas Jacob Gamboa, Baylee Bryant, Jonathan Calderon, Erika Aleman, Jesus Hernandez, Austin Aguirre, Edna Escobedo, Anjali Singh, Angel Ramirez, Elijah Cross, Michelle Lopez, Alondra Campos, Sadie Cunningham, Joseph Arisco, Maya Souza, Efrain Flores, Kimberly Solano, and Zauriah Cotton. Love/Sick is a play that contains lovers and dreamers that look into the agony and the happiness that comes with being in love and in relationships. To begin with, the plot of the play was very straightforward and unmissable. It outlined all the effects, good and bad, that comes with being in a relationship as well as depicting all the dilemmas.…

Occurrence of Different Dreams and Ultimate Lessons How was look like when the Lorraine Hansberry 's play, A Raisin in the Sun, is written? At that time, from the abolition of black slavery, African Americans could have freedom differently from the past. However, the liberty existed on the only surface. As the reader can find in the play, there were many cases that the African American families that are not different from other normal white families have pain in racial prejudice and discrimination. Even if they had same right on the surface of society, they still had invisible wall that separates their social position and status.…

At this point many including myself thought the tone of the play would become substantially happier, but with the acts done by her son the tone of the play fell to a very sad one. I believe that without the poor choices Walter made the play wouldn 't have changed because by doing this he made himself realize that no matter what happens family comes first event if that means loosing some of him pride. When Walter took action with turning Mr. Linder away the play drastically changed, not just the tone, but the genre. With these turn of events Walter is able to help his family and mother have the happy ending they all…

A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry shows the struggle and choice that one must go through: either standing out in a crowd and becoming ones own person, or staying the same as the people around you are, following their choices, becoming the person that they are. In line number one I started with the major question that I believe every one is facing and answering for him or herself through out the play. “Do you follow the crowd” reminded my of Walter in the story. He is constantly looing at all the successful men around him, so that is the person that he wants to be. Not wanting to take chances or willing to grow reminded me of Mama in the beginning of this play.…

A Raisin in the Sun tells the story of an African American family called the Younger’s who are living on the South Side of Chicago during the 1950’s. When designing the costumes for A Raisin in the Sun careful consideration must be taken in order to make sure that the costumes fit the time period. The choice of costumes is very important for the performance of the play because costumes can indicate a character’s sex, occupation, status, position, flamboyance/modesty and degree of independence. As a costume designer there are the following main objectives: to help set the tone and style of the production, to establish the locale and period in which the play takes place, to indicate the natures of the characters or groups in the…
