Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is a very well-known novel among high school students. George and Lennie, a strange pair, travels together and working for a subsistence living condition, and the only thing that keeps them going is their dream of owning a small piece of land that they can call their own. Clearly, the ability to dream is tied to having someone to share your dream with. Steinbeck want high school students to learn how to not be afraid of dreaming, and to accept failure.
