King of Demacia

1.1
At rise we see a booming medieval kingdom in a large clearing in a forest. There is a long, winding, brick road that leads to Tariq and Garen, two sentinels, pacing back and forth beyond the gates of Demacia. The sun is beaming.
GAREN: If it gets any hotter I think I’ll start melting.
TARIQ: Yes, I’ll make sure to deliver you to the king in a bucket.
GAREN: Be serious.
TARIQ: After you.
GAREN: You know, you’ve been in some hot water with the king. You really need to stop goofing off so much.
TARIQ: Goofing off?
GAREN: That’s not what I meant. Well actually..

There aren’t even any words, there’s just a incredibly crude drawing of the Trinity Force. This must be a joke. The story of the Trinity Force is just an urban legend…. But I have heard rumors. A lot of rumors! (He rummages through a bookshelf and opens a large book. He begins to read.) Upon the highest point of Mt. Targon rests an old relic, the Trinity Force. Such a relic is sought after by every nation and holds the ability to start or end war.Blah blah, yadda, yadda, yadda- Ah, here it is. It is said to have the ability to grant power from the stars? What could that even mean? I’ve been trained for years, scaling this mountain should be no harder than a mission. (He looks out the window to Mt. Targon, a few miles away.) I’m sure I can redeem myself.

(Tariq has left Demacia and is heading towards the mountain’s entrance. People wearing rags pass by and look at him with a face of worry or disbelief when he mentions his quest. Some people are kind enough to give him food or water on his journey, and others try to rob him. Tariq is walking by himself on a long, narrow path that hasn’t been touched for years.)
TARIQ: I feel as if the journey has opened my eyes to what this mountain truly is. The stories travelers have told me makes me reconsider not only my climb, but if the Trinity Force would prove me to be accepted back to Demacia. Now, at the mountain’s feet, adventure beckons me- How could I even resist? What could

Who enters the wintry climate of Mt. Targon? Another poor man looking for power they can’t control? Bah! He won’t even make it halfway up the mountain before turning in defeat. Who is this man anyway?
(He pulls out a magical sphere. Inside we see an image of Tariq climbing the mountain.)
Goodness how determined this one is, already almost three-fourths of the way up. But do the stars call for this one? (He looks up.) We shall find out!

(Three days of hiking have passed. The temperature has dropped from a warm summer day to something of a frozen winter night. The bitter winds pierce Tariq’s body. His hands are frozen, but he does not slow down. A gentle voice can be heard through the blustery winds. Tariq moves closer and confronts the source of the voice, the same man with the long beard.)

MAN: Who.. Who is there?
Tariq: Another lost soul fallen to the hands of injustice.
MAN: I’m in no way ‘lost’
Tariq: Aren’t you cold?
MAN: Is that a joke?
Tariq: He takes off his cloak and wraps it around the man. You can keep this, but I must keep pushing forward.
MAN: W.. What? What’s the catch? The.. the…. This must be a trick of some sort. What do I owe

What is the answer to the elusive question that is immortality? According to the reveled rulers of the ancient lands, one lived forever in the vast monuments that these authorities had crafted as representations of their supremacy. Ironically, however, it is because of these “immortal” renditions, that we have proof of just how evanescent life – no matter how formidable, can be. Nevertheless, those rulers who thirsted for immortality still live on due to their stories being captured forever in literature. In his poem “Ozymandias,” Romantic poet Percy Shelley uses metaphors, imagery, and an allegorical motif to demonstrate that while man believes he is invincible, death is inevitable to all regardless of their stature and only in the poetry do we remain as everlasting.…
