“Listen Isabelle” Crap I’m getting fired, what else would It be? Usually, Mr. Pine calls me Belle, but Isabelle means it’s serious. As I get lost in my thoughts I hear Mr. Pine “What do you think?” What? Crap I totally should've paid attention.

“W.…What? Sorry, I zoned out a little” I tell him while looking down at my feet. He laughs “That's totally fine Bella, I was wondering If you would be able to go work with my son. He will be taking over the company when I retire. But before I fully commit to that I want to make sure that he will run it as smooth as possible. So I want you to be his personal assistance as you've been working here for 5 years. I trust you that you will help him in any way.”

“But Mr. Pine, why not just hire a new one for him?” That’s very nice of him not firing me.

“Belle I would but it would be a mess, they won't know the company as good and they will have to start from the very beginning and to be honest with you I don’t want to train someone again. I'm old and I’m lazy. Plus someone like my son and his very colorful personality you are the best for this job.” Mr. Pine laughs and shakes his head.

Very ignorant and walks like he has something stuck up his ass. I know that he has never had a girlfriend because like he said: “they are a waste of my time.” He once said in an interview that no one will ever see him married, also that no one will ever see him fall in love with anyone. I did hear rumors that he does sleep with many women but that’s it nothing more. It’s very hard to believe that because he is very cold and doesn’t even talk to you if you are from the other sex. Maybe he’s gay? Who knows with him, his father and mother thought the same and they said that they will totally be fine if he likes men but he looked at them and laughed. He told them that they are

For the third day in a row, I wake up to a clogged nose, a throbbing head, and a sore throat. It’s 6:00 in the morning, and I can barely open my eyes, let alone sing. I quickly drink a cup of strong, fragrant tea, which warms my throat and temporary clears my sinuses, preparing me for the long hour of singing ahead. Once a week, in the quiet, early hours of the morning, my a cappella group assembles to practice and perfect our songs.…

Dramatic music crescendoed in the background of a sweeping view of mountains. The camera zoomed in on the leading lady, her dress billowing around her. From participating in the drama workshops I have been exposed to a number of drama teaching and learning experiences. These experiences, along with readings by drama education theorists, have enabled me to realise how beneficial drama can be for children’s development. Drama allows children to express themselves, while also taking on the roles of other characters that they would not have otherwise done. Such learning experiences were evident in the workshop based around the story of Pandora’s Box. Activities in this session included freeze frames, reading a story, blanket roles and improvisation.…

“My Last Duchess” by Robert Browning is a poem written in the form of a dramatic monologue. In it, the speaker describes the portrait of his late wife to the servant of a prospective bride’s father. Throughout the description, the speaker’s sociopathy is made increasingly clear, with the heavily implication that he was the actual cause of the wife’s demise. Browning reveals the prideful, control-obsessed, and sociopathic character of the speaker through self-boasting, caesuras in the monologue, and the varying levels of politeness he exhibits throughout the poem.…
