Individuals despise drama in their own lives, but enjoy kicking back on the couch with an endless amount of popcorn to view its affect on the lives of others. On March 27, 2005, Shonda Rhimes, perhaps one of the most dominant television producers, premiered the popular television series Grey's Anatomy. From the airing of the pilot episode to the most current episode, Grey's Anatomy has released three hundred episodes in fourteen seasons. The show was undoubtedly an instant hit. The television series everyone loves, Grey's Anatomy, has numerous seasons packed with drama and suspense, outstanding acting, and is an inspiration for teenage viewers who are planning to pursue careers in the medical department. A more specific example, season ten episode twenty-four, "Fear (of the Unknown)", when a mentally ill shooter enters the hospital carelessly shooting and threatening numerous amounts of patients, doctors, and visitors with a lethal firearm. The episode kicked off season seven with a great deal of drama and suspense for the audience to delight in. Season two, episode five immediately opens with the iconic scene of Meredith Grey (main character) and Derek Shepard (supporting character). This particular scene creates drama and suspense due as Derek must decide between two women to love. Suspense begins to take over when Meredith states her well-known line, "Pick me, choose me, love me."
