Drake Faculty and Staff,

I humbly request to repeat the spring semester at Drake Law School. During the fall semester of my first year of law school, I had the grave misfortune of befriending an individual that attacked me after a social gathering of fellow law students. Due to this incident, I was unable to perform at my best and it reflected in my grades. The following semester, I came forward and requested assistance from the faculty and staff in an effort to improve the spring semester. Unfortunately, with the hearing being set during finals, I requested to have them postponed. Yet, I was unable to focus and, once more, unable to perform to my full potential. Therefore, permitting me to retake the semester will grant me the opportunity to perform at the level I'm capable of now that the incident is in the past.

Kennedy show in his work, Legal Education as Training for Hierarchy, that the legal education system has major flaws that needs to be addressed, especially in the first year of education. Kennedy showed that in the very first year students are put into a highly competitive environment where many students believing, either consciously or not, that their success at law school will access them with social mobility. Kennedy states that “everyone whose parents were not members of the professional/technical intelligentsia seems to feel that law school is an advance in terms of the family history (Kennedy 39)”. This shows that a percentage of the student populace have impure motives when it comes to them being at the school. This shows that not everyone at law schools are there for the betterment of society as a whole.…

And after that, finally, I came back last Spring 2015. As a result, when I decided to come back to school, The Committee of Graduate School told me that I should improve my cumulative GPA over 3.0, if then, they will allow me to keep going to school from Spring 2016. It means that if I would not improve my cumulative GPA, I would be denied from school right after this Autumn 2015 semester. I know it is a penalty, but it is pretty hard.…

To whom it may concern: This letter is to request my reinstatement to University of Maryland University College. My poor academic performance was not just a bad reflection of myself but also of what knowledge I should have been able to show I learned from taking intriguing classes. I have never been a person to give up and usually go full force with anything I would like to pursue. This may not be the best description; however, I believe I may have hit my own version of a mid-life crisis.…

My grades this past year were and are not indicative of who I am as a student, or as a person in general. My junior year of high school, I decided to do PSEO, thinking it was an easy way to get credits for both high school and college. I did not realize the struggle I was going to have just trying to be accountable for myself during my senior year. My daily schedule consisted of work, soccer, managing the high school boy’s hockey team, volunteer work, spending time with my high school friends and taking college courses. I took the most challenging classes through Anoka-Ramsey Community College, thinking that like high school these would be the best for me.…

John Jay School for Law is nestled on Seventh Ave, in the Park Slope neighbourhood. Through the heavy double doors the scanning machines sit, eagerly awaiting one’s approach as they gobble up your bags and other items, illuminating all the contents to the school safety officer before excreting them out the other end. Up the clammy steps to the second floor where all the classes cynically open their doors and suck you in. Forty minutes you sit, seated on the hard, coloured chairs behind trash filled desks, engaged in activities which aid in the improvement of your intellectual wellness. The time slugs by, as your pen is introduced to paper and your thoughts begin to walk; across the pages or out in the hall was.…

Mr. Propst: In response to your letter of Reprimand and Final Warning concerning the incident mentioned in the letter dated February 20, 2017. I totally rebutt and disagree with the action taken and the letter of reprimand. As I stated to my direct administrator and to you, Mr. Probst, I did not call the student “the scum of the earth” as the student accused me of doing. I would never call a student anything so derogatory or hurtful. I did state I was disappointed in the decisions he made and believed he could make better decisions in the future in regards to an altercation on our school campus that this student was involved in and was cited to court over.…

I am applying for readmission, as I would like to start afresh and improve the mistakes I had made in my first term ( Fall 2016). Since my last registration at University of Waterloo, I took lessons/help from fellow students on how to take tests, how to take proper notes and also how to be successful in the courses I will be taking in the future. Furthermore, I have been refreshing my memory by reading and making notes of the classes I previously had done. During my first term, my main issue and why I could not perform to my full capabilities, was because I was not sure how to take notes, how to study for classes etc. Even though, I studied hard and did not procrastinate in any of my courses, I did not receive the marks I wished for and the…
