Aubrey Drake Graham; also known as Drake, is a world renowned singer. He is also a tv star, starring in shows such as degrassi and Ice age: continental drift. Drake was born on October 24, 1986. He raised by his father, Dennis Graham, who was a drummer for the rockstar Jerry lee lewis. His mother's name is Sandi Graham. It is safe to say that he was born into a musical family which helped him develop into the artist he is today. His father was a catholic african american and his mother was a canadian white jew. This mixture of musical heritage and race made drake into the world's first and only african american canadian jew. He was asked about his personal identity and he said, "At the end of the day, I consider myself a black man because I'm more immersed in black culture than any other. Being Jewish is kind of a cool twist. It makes me unique (Drake Biography).” …show more content…
One of Drake's college classmates at forest hill who helped the future star get into the entertainment industry. He starred on the popular show for seven years as a basketball star. In the show he shot by a classmate and was permanently put in a wheelchair. After the incident his dreams of a basketball career were over. During his time as wheel chair jimmy he earned multiple awards. In 2002, He won the young artist award for best ensemble. After the awards he became a star in canada but was still not well known in the United States (Drake Biography)
