I had just arrived to my horse riding lesson at the Dragon Fire Dancing Horses barn. They were down by the furthest opening to the barn, and the fence that had Gato prancing around in behind them. Kelly (the lesson instructor) was helping with Flicka’s wound. Flicka was a brown horse that had usually stayed in the fields. I looked at the wound and immediately felt sick to the stomach. I instantly went to the fence for support. I stood there dazed for a little bit waiting for my steadiness to return. My grandma herded me into the riding area of the barn, and I sat on the couch.
She once again scanned me with an uneasy gaze as she told me, “I don’t think you should have riding lessons today.” I gasped and glared at her as if that was the worst thing she could have said. The more I thought about it though, the more it made sense. I nodded in agreement, and Grandma told Kelly that we were leaving. As we got into Grandma’s dark blue van I still felt somewhat unsteady.
It seems like a moronic way to pass out for. Heck, looking back now I think, ‘Wow, I really fainted from a little blood?’ I’ve learned that if you feel uncertain about something then get out of there. Try keep steady or even sit down because otherwise you may end up like me, on the ground fainted. I’m not the only one who has fainted, and you could too. Just be careful and you should be
