Without a doubt Ruapuls Drag race has been my faveourite television show for years, aside from Spongebob. Drag has definetly consumed my life as I am a die hard fan. Not everyone knows about this show as it is not on mainstream TV, my job today is to introduce you to the world of drag
First of all what is a drag queen? A drag queen is a man that dresses up as a women for entertainment purposes. People often confuse drag for cross dressing or transgender but it is far different. Drag queen identify as male outsicde of drag. The term drag comes from William Shakespeer “an over exxagerated female impersonater”. When a man is in drag, they exagerate female fetures such as makeup for a comic or dramatic effect. Ruapul charles is an American drag actor, singer, and model. Rupaul is currently fifty five years of age, but you really wouldn’t notice! She is truly a flawless queen. He has won several awards including an Emmy award in 2016. He has several TV shows but his most successful show Is ‘Rupaul’s Drag Race’ on Logo TV. Each season is followed by a seven epsiode ‘Untucked’ Web series showing the drama that occurs behind the scenes. The show is similar to America’s next to model, but for drag queens. Fourteen Queens participate in crazy challenges including runway, to win a lifetime supply of cosmetic, a spot on the drag race hall of fame, and a cash prize of $100,000! This show has been going on for eight seasons including two bonus all star season. Over one hundred queens have appeared on this show and has since had successful carreers as full time drag queens. There is a regular judging panel consisting of Rupaul and her partner Michelle Visage along with new guest judges every week (ariana grande, ravon simone
