Dr. Temperance Brennan is a woman well known for her intelligence and successful careers, however another thing that makes her stand out is her complete lack of social skills and her extreme way of rationalizing her feelings. As stated in the episode,"The Girl in the Fridge”, from the first season, the only reason she dates other males is to "satisfy biological urges". However, ‘Bones’ doesn’t date for emotional purposes; fearing that she will suffer once again from abandonment.
Dr. Temperance Brennan is a smart, likeable character with an authority figure who really stands up to what she sees is true. However, as her character develops throughout the series she begins to let herself have “irrational” feelings; causing her to fall in love with the main male protagonist, Agent Seeley Booth. Once they both begin dating and she feels ready to move forward in her relationship she is the one who proposes marriage to agent Booth; which can in a way show that women can also initiate a romance or
