Dr. Seuss's Books Influence On My Life

Improved Essays
Dr. Seuss’s books had a huge influence on my life. In my house, we have a whole library of his books. My beloved book growing up was Mr. Brown Can MOO! Can You? Because of that book, I actually started reading. Before my parents started reading Dr. Seuss books to me, I would reject reading. Mr. Brown Can MOO! Can You? taught me a lot about sounds and rhyming, and because of that I knew what sounds go with which animal before I went to kindergarten, so I got to go to kindergarten a year early. My second favorite book of his when growing up was One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. That book taught me colors and numbers. It also taught me about rhyming relating to the other book. Dr. Seuss’s books had an enormous impact on my reading education.
