On July 4, 1954 a pregnant, 31 year old Marilyn Reese Sheppard was found murdered in

her bedroom. All evidence pointed towards husband Dr. Sam Sheppard even though he

claimed it was a "bushy haired" intruder who killed his wife. After several decades this case

still remains unsolved, leaving people wondering who really murdered Marilyn Reese

Sheppard. (Rompalske)

The morning of the murder, Dr. Sam Sheppard claims he was asleep on the couch when

he was woke up by his wife’s screams. When he entered their upstairs bedroom, Dr.

Sheppard found his wife brutally beaten. After discovering his wife’s dead body, Dr.

Sheppard said he too was attacked by a "bushy haired’ intruder leaving him knocked

unconscious.
