During Padre Pio’s life some of the charity he did for the people was helping out the village of Pietrelcina, protect adolescents, and civil defenses volunteers. In the article St. Padre Pio the text states “ As a child, he was very religious and by the age of five he reportedly made the decision to dedicate his life to God”. (St. Padre Pio) This shows that even when he was young and didn't know much he was dedicated to God and would do anything for him. Furthermore since he was so dedicated to God he spent his whole life doing great things to help the community.
Another example of why he became a Saint is because of the stigmata. The Stigmata is wounds that show up in spots that correspond to the wounds of Jesus Christ.
