Mengele had more than a few unthinkable experiments. Dr. Mengele had a peculiar interest in twins, thus, most of his experiments were on twins, “Mengele did a number of medical experiments of unspeakable horror at Auschwitz, using twins. These twins as young as five and six years of age were usually murdered after the experiment was over and their bodies dissected. A smiling "uncle Mengele" injected chemicals into the eyes of children in an attempt to change their eye color. He made experimental surgeries performed without anesthesia, transfusions of blood from one twin to another, isolation endurance, and reaction to various stimuli. He made injections with lethal germs, sex change operations, the removal of organs and limbs, “ (Bülow 2015-17). This proves that Dr. Mengele did more than a few malicious experiments.
Dr. Mengele experiments did have some actual medical value. In fact, his experiment on how to warm up a body after it has hypothermia did have success, “The victim was placed in warm water and the temperature was slowly increased. This method proved to be the best. Many victims died due to shock if they were warmed up too quickly,” (Remember.org 1995-2017). This shows that although his methods did result in death and were cruel, he did make some medical contributions. However, this does not take away from the fact that the Angel of Death killed many people and was a terrible human
