MLK Analysis contest
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr may have been one of the greatest leaders ever to exist in America, he enforced peaceful protests to promote equality throughout America, he also, eliminated the inequality that colored people faced day by day. To fully understand Dr. King’s legacy, you have to understand his significance during the American Civil Rights Movement. Civil war was coming toward America, which could have led our nation to go downhill. America was becoming divided, one side black, other side white. Dr. King knew that “united we would stand, but divided we would fall.” Dr. King’s solution prevented a war between the whites and the blacks. Dr. King, a man for peace, discriminated from violent actions that could have ruined what America is Today, America celebrates every year on January 3rd, to honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

America recognized that the ideas brought up by Dr. King, would be less divisive and violent to America. America was willing to negotiate with eliminating segregation amongst the whites and the blacks. Dr. King and others through negotiation were able to give people who would’ve never been able to show who they truly were unless somebody like Dr. King stood up for what was right. Today’s society would quickly show that the negotiations for more equality and people willing to fight for what they believe in are desperately needed and will continuously be needed, unless everybody becomes equal and have the same ideas and opinions on everything. As a man for change, Dr. King, realized, one day, that he may have to give his life up, but Dr. King was alright with that, because that meant that he was going to die for something that he wanted and that was equality in
