As a child Martin Luther King Jr. faced many racisms from white people. For instance one time when he was older a school bully hit him. Dr. King’s brother Alfred fought back to this cruel bully's beating to his brother and decided to act violent and hit him back. Protecting his brother, he took the blame for his retaliation and the bully's mother then slapped Martin. Though Dr. King was good at writing and presenting speeches, he wanted to follow a different path in his life. Dr. King skipped multiple grades in school and went to a good college because he excelled above other students. He had many role models including Reinhold Niebuhr and Mahatma Gandhi because they did amazing things with their lives. Like many other leaders he had a dream to pursue his career in philosophy.
