Dr Jekyll And Hyde Good Vs Evil

Men are equally balanced between the good and bad, ever since they are born. The novella shows two sides of men named Dr. Jekyll, the good side being named Dr. Jekyll and the bad side being named Mr. Hyde. Each side has a different point of view towards the meaning of good and evil. As one gets older becoming more mature, the actions that are taken in life is what determines if they are either good or bad. The nature of good and evil can be pretty hard to describe. Good can be determined as an action in which one does something “good” such as helping someone out or giving back something that the other person lost. Evil can be described as something “bad” for instance, a kid stealing a bike from someone else can be described as evil for committing a horrible action. …show more content…
In the novella, “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”, Dr.Jekyll shows that he is a gentlemen in every way one can see but once he turns into Mr. Hyde, a horrific monster with such a bad temper in which no one really wishes to see someone like him. Dr. Jekyll thinks that he is doing the best for him by having two different sides of himself to show. Poole, being the savant of Dr. Jekyll, thinks that he is doing wrong by having two different sides because there is nothing good inserted into that but is just pure evil. The obsession with dark desires is what makes people take bad actions which leads them to become evil. But if one has the obsession with good desires, they will be taking good actions leading them to becoming someone
