DuBois wasn’t a fan of racial prejudice. He was the type of person that if there was a protest he’d be the one leading it. He founded this thing called the Niagara Movement which later became the NAACP, which was advocating that Blacks should have the same rights as White people. He wanted everyone to be equal no matter what they looked like. In 1919 Dr. DuBois fathered the Pan-African Congress, which encouraged the unity of Africans worldwide. Not just i'm from Nigeria and you're from Tanzania so we don’t get along. He wanted to show the world the problems Blacks were dealing with at the time. He argued with the British government to give Blacks living in Africa and The West Indies the ability to control their governments. Over the years he became one of the most controversial Blacks leaders. During the 1950’s, he was the leader of the World Peace Information Center which led to him to be indicted as an unregistered foreign agent. Which caused him to say “It is a curious thing that I am being called upon to defend myself against charges for openly advocating one thing all people want-peace.” More than two million signatures were taken before he took the stand, eventually the case was
