Dr Avritscher Case Study

Decent Essays
Good evening Ms. Nicholas,

I apologize for my late replay. I was not able to complete my evaluation last Friday. However, I finalized it today. When I selected “send it to the manager”, it was automatically redirected to my former supervisor Dr. Kenna Shaw. It was not necessary that Dr. Avritscher forwarded it to her. Probably, you already made the necessary changes on the system.

Thank you so much for all your guidance, help and understanding!

Andrea

One source of information not utilized by Child Protective Services was the information about Mrs. Krasniqi having a brother who was willing to take in the two children. I believe the case would have had a more positive outcome if this source had been further investigated. When asked about placing the children with their uncle the case worker said, I have not, and would never, investigate relative placement in this case, because these people always stay together. (Dallas, 1994, p. 3) Several aspects of life could have stayed the same for the children if they would have been placed with their uncle.…

My responsibility for this workshop was to proceed with a handover of a patient to an intern (played by Dr. Michael Adamson). This was a particularly disasterous session. My performance was not only unfit within the scope of academic criteria, but was clearly short of acceptable for a real-world SBAR. During the reading of the scenario I was daunted by the task of having to SBAR report a patient to admission at a hostpital, based on information I was reading for the first time; my practice with the hand-over system was minimal prior to the session.…

Drake talked about his vision of access, excellence, inclusivity and affordability, and then told the group at the Shisler Center this would be the point in the program where he would be finished. However, he had just one more thing to do.…

Dr. Johnson gave me a bag full of prescriptions and I used the Drug ID function on my Lexi-Comp to identify each vial. Close to the end of my shift, a nurse approached the pharmacy asking us to do a medication reconciliation on a patient who had recently been admitted to the floor. This had been his second time being admitted to the hospital in the last week so he was no stranger to the floor. Dr. Johnson explained to me that since he was a recent admit, she could print his past medication list from his last visit and we could use that as a guide for our reconciliation. When we entered the room, the patient seemed lethargic and confused, after introducing ourselves, I began the reconciliation process.…
