I do not take pleasure in writing negative evaluations but I cannot say that my experience with Dr. Arieahn Matamonasa-Bennett was positive in the least. I have enjoyed and learned very much from taking many professors at Fielding, and that’s why I feel that it is necessary to point out the professors who do not hold themselves to the same standards of excellence. I will try to articulate my experience in Dr. Arieahn Matamonasa-Bennett’s multicultural (712) course as briefly as possible. Also, if any verification of my accounts of what transpired is needed, I would be happy to provide the email correspondences or any additional information upon request.

(1) To start, Dr. Matamonasa-Bennett’s syllabus for the 712 course was dated for the previous semester. In the first week of class, I brought to her attention that all the due dates for all of the course work were off by a semester and need to be updated. Dr. Matamonasa-Bennett told me, via email, that she will have the syllabus updated shortly. The syllabus was never updated and the due dates for all the course work were never established despite me sending her numerous

Matamonasa-Bennett, who intentionally seek to harm students and reduce the quality of Fielding as an institution. Students are in a venerable position where they must trust professors to produce a final grade that accurately reflects the quality of students’ work in a given course. Professors who consciously evaluate students on their poorest work, as opposed to an actual representation of the quality of their work, are using their power to purposefully harm students. I regard such victimization of students as reprehensible and damaging to the quality of education that Fielding provides. If any additional information is need, feel free to contact me at

Although there is a clearly stated disciplinary consequence for her action, the administrative staff conflict with enforcing that punishment. Mr. Furtoski, the principal, especially struggled with the decision because he did not want to supersede the teacher’s autonomy and rights to follow district mandated rules; which he helped to approve. At the same time, his moral consciousness played a role. He thought the punishment was unwarranted. In addition, Mr. Furtoski was concerned about jeopardizing Sheila’s honorable achievements and the renewed sense of pride it will bring to the school and community.…

Begin with the authors' credentials and credibility of the publication. Evaluate the study for validity and usefulness by asking several questions for example: Are the findings applicable to my setting? When critiquing research information, the most important question to me is how is this information going to help my…

When it comes to understanding yourself and your personality on a deeper level than normally, you must take personal stories into perspective that have shaped your life while growing up. According to McAdams, “defining oneself through a personal story is an act of psychological and social responsibility” (Engler 2009). Psychological and social responsibility relate to how you act onto actions around you and how you tie society into your viewpoint of the world. In other words, explaining yourself through a story can show several things such as how your emotions played an affect, the type of response you displayed to something that happened, and as well as the lessons you learned through a personal but also social aspect. In addition, McAdams…

Professor Haynes, you have told us some stories that shock me, they went beyond an innocent mistake, they seemed just ignorant and rude. I do not take away from your experiences or any other person’s experiences. In week six the video of the comedian mocking, “reverse racism” belittled my experiences. Not only that but whomever chose that video didn’t seem to consider this could send the wrong message to students in this program that have a negative view or bias towards white people.…

Critical Appraisal of a Research Article This essay contains my critical appraisal of a quantitative research paper by Kennedy, Curtis and Waters, (2014). I will critique the research paper using an appraisal guide adapted from Ingham-Broomfield (2008) and Solutions for Public Health (2010). I will work through the article in a systematic way, beginning with the title and going right through to the conclusion. Critiquing an article in this way helps enable one to weigh up the strengths and weaknesses of the research and make balanced judgments about the quality and usefulness of it (Moule & Hek, 2011).…
