Dr. Allen Mcwhite Analysis

Jesus’ commands us in Matthew 28:19 to “go and make disciples of all nations”. Dr. Allen McWhite successfully portrayed what Christ envisioned when He left the disciples with this final command. We live in a culture where everyone is committed to making their own souls content. We are not called to a life filled with our own selfish desires. As Dr. Allen McWhite says, “we are called to be Godly people in a God-less world”. Acts 20:24 says, “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace”. Dr. Allen McWhite reminded me that the mission Jesus Christ left us with is more important than my desires, my plans and

Christ as the center of human existence means that he is our judgment and justification” (Bonhoeffer, Christ the Center/Christology 60). Now that the truth is in us, it must be shared with all. This is what Roberts calls the Proclaimed Kingdom, for Acts 1:4, 8, says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Jesus commands them to spread his word, to tell all nations about the good news of salvation. Jesus says in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.…

Discipleship that Fits: The Five Kinds of Relationships God Uses to Help Us Grow is a book that was authored by Bobby Harrington and Alex Absalom. Within this book the authors defend Biblical discipleship and show the reader how this understanding fits within the context of the local church. For them “being a disciple of Jesus simply means that you are modeling your life thoughts, your words, your actions, your everything after the example and teaching Jesus has given us.” (DTF, 16) A disciple is a person that is committed to the process of becoming like Christ.…

We must nurture new disciples, as seen in Matthew 28:19-20. It is important to teach these individuals of why and how to relate the Bible as the revelation of God in matters of life, salvation, kingdom work and theology. This is vital to the new believers, because they must learn how they view God and his response to their lives; as well as to their response to the world. Through discipleship believers learn how to communicate God’s love to those who are lost and without love. They also learn how to convey God’s incarnational love to…

Over the years, I have come to learn that I need to daily make it a priority to die to my own selfish desires to be in control and put on unconditional faith in God. While I need to daily die to myself, the world does to. The world has grown increasingly far from God and has a pressing need for the salvation that is found in Jesus. Similarly, the Kingdom of God needs people who are willing to die to themselves and follow wherever he would call them. The more extensive the Kingdom the more extensive the impact, the more people recognize the Creator of the Kingdom.…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

First of all, the Holy Spirit gives believers the freedom to grow in sanctification and to glorify God. Believers have freedom simply because it is God’s gift to us, thus it can only be exercised in faith by walking by the spirit. (“galatians 5:13-26”) God has not given this freedom so people can live their lives for their own pleasure, but for the first time, they can do what God desires out of love for Him. The Holy Spirit gives true believers this desire to serve God.…
