Society puts higher pressures on women to be perfect and look exactly how they are in media. Which has negative effects on the mindset and body image of little girls as they strive to be society's version of perfect. This is important because I have seen many girls including myself try to fit into the mold we are handed by our peers. It causes girls to dislike their bodies or hate who they are just because they aren’t what they have been taught is beautiful by society. My solution is to find an equal basis for representation, increase body positive programs and decrease the about of photoshop use. I’m not saying it’s wrong to look like the magazine models but it shouldn’t be the only ideal of beauty. We need to encourage little girls to do what they want no matter size, shape or what people are telling them. Once we equalize the genders in media we will see a much more happy society as girls are happy about who they are and don’t feel like sexual
