Double Rape In Elementary School

Improved Essays
In elementary school, I was royalty. Queen of double dutch. There were others that challenged me to duels for my title, but only I prevailed. I didn’t come about this title easily. It took an immense amount of days to even be able to jump in. You see, everyday at recess all the girls would leap for the bucket of jump ropes. We all loved to sing our nursery rhymes and see who could jump the longest and I was nowhere near the best. Of course jumping rope alone got boring so we started to use the big ropes and jump in groups. Eventually that became unappealing as well and we decided to try something completely new, jumping with two ropes. It was nearly impossible to do. How do you spin two ropes at once without having them get caught on each

The subject of the case is "A rape on Campus", an article written by Sabrina Rubin Erdely in Rolling Stones magazine. Erdely is a writer, journalist and editor at Rolling Stones. The article lacked integrity and substantial evidence as the victim wasn't questioned. I'm writing about this case because it demonstrates how a journalist's writing can be falsified if not backed up with proof. Also, it's ironic that the story managed to slipped by the professionals, get published, and read almost three million times before being doubted.…

While more than half of sexual assaults against women of college age occur off campus, on campus assaults are a problem that college and universities can and should do more to address. The best statistics show there is a correlation between 3 factors, alcohol use, sorority membership, and class status, and sexual assault on campus. To combat these trends colleges and universities need to address these factors while taking into account that any measures they take not simply move the problem from campus to off campus locations. This means that the measures taken should be centered on raising awareness, encouraging responsibility, and holding offenders accountable in a just way, while also addressing the campus code of conduct.…

    1. Why was it important for Sandy to keep the school principal and others informed about her plans? It is important to keep the school officials informed because she would have to validate her reasoning for wanting to address the situation via a group rather than individually. Because this is not the school 's usual protocol and there would probably be some skepticism of her desire to handle the situation in this manner, so it is important for this to be a collaborative effort. Moreover, Sandy was working with teens who had a history of violent behavior, so for her safety and the children 's as well it would be wise to keep officially informed of the group 's progress.…
