Even though Dot Foods is not a manufacturer, the company took the concepts taught by lean manufacturing to help determine its course for eliminating inefficient and wasteful aspects of its operations (J. At Dot Foods’ annual meeting in January 2016, John Tracy detailed specifics from the company’s strategic plan.
