1. I think the major musical film is no longer a money maker for Hollywood because it is not unique anymore. Viewers would find it repetitive or too common to make over and over again. Some scenes would especially be repetitive that would lost the interest of some viewers. Some challenges would be making it unique that allows it to stand out from other musicals.…
Last Thursday night, I attended Indiana Wesleyan University’s production of The Pirates of Penzance. This is a romantic comedy that is performed as an opera. All the dancers that participated in it all had their own personal stories that they could relate to which made the dance so special. Everyone was truly happy to be performing and telling the story. Another thing that really worked well with the dance was all the different parts throughout the dance along with the formations. Never did I once get bored and drift off into space while that dance was on stage. The choreography was so dynamic and unique that you never knew what to watch because everything that was going on was so beautiful.…
The musical I went to was “Heathers; The Musical”, lyrics and music by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe. Which is about a high school girl named Veronica Sawyer who was nobody until one day, three of the popular girls at her high school decided to she would fit perfect with them. Funny thing was that they were all named Heather. After being whisked away from her boring life and put into the Heather click, she meets a boy named JD who she falls in love with. Veronica, later in the year, accidentally kills the main Heather, then goes on to watch as many of her fellow classmates are “accidentally” killed and are said to have committed suicide by no other than JD himself.…
Starting from the actors, scenes, the exaggeration of moves, loud singing and the facial expressions of the actors, caught my interests and curiosity. The actors’ role fits them. I was surprised to hear Richard Gere sing and dance, way more different from what I conceptualize him in his roles in romantic movies. Queen Latifah acting is believable, she is so natural, and she portrays her role beautifully. Chicago the Musical is music, dance, Love, deception, greed, frustration, anger, and murder are put into one excellent musical play.…
I usually just skip songs in any movie not matter what it is. The songs in this play, however, were just too catchy and nice to skip! I even got one of the songs stuck in my head. My favorite part of the musical was surprisingly the musical numbers, especially “Summer Nights.” The dancing and the singing of all the actors all participating added a happy feel over all to the mood.…

The 2001 Bollywood film Asoka is a rendition of King Asoka Maurya’s legacy. Bindusara Asoka’s father is about to renounce the throne to his successor. In this depiction, Asoka is seen to be very skillful and fierce in martial arts. He leads his troops in battle and even though he and his men were outnumbered.
