What makes her good at this is her phobia of certain trademarks, the Michelin Man being one of them. Cayce reciting her mantra to calm herself adds confirmation that the Michelin Man brings her fear. Except no one is really supposed to know about her phobia except her mom, some of her ex boyfriends, and her therapist. Now Cayce definitely knows Dorotea wants something that Cayce has. Later on pages 158 – 159, Cayce is in Russia trying to meet up with Stella:
Hands grab her, from behind, hard, just above the elbows, pinning her arms at her sides… With the Prada clone's fingers…trying to free her bag… She shoves her arms suddenly forward, just far enough to grab the glove-thin leather of both his lapels. And as the second assailant inadvertently cooperates, yanking her arms back, her hands buried in Prada's lapels, she pulls with all her might and smashes her forehead as hard as she can into Prada's nose.
