Dorm Room Research Paper

My dorm room looks like the many others at this academy, but it includes minute touches that make it uniquely mine. When I do a right face into my room the first thing that seizes my attention is the cleanliness and purity of the room, but still somehow manages to have that appearance of being worn and exhausted. The smell of Lysol smacks me right in the face along with the hint of mustiness in the air. In addition to the smell I hear the slight hum of the air condition running nonstop, which leads the room to feel like the freezer section at Walmart. The next thing I notice is the floors. Even if I had just mopped the floors they retain the look as if the whole regiment had just walk through the room. It looks scuffed, worn, and bleak with …show more content…
The draw is four feet long, and a foot and a half deep. Following the flow of the room my eyes fall on the desk next which is situated under the rack. It is about three fourths the length of the rack and the same depth as it. It contains a two sets of drawers on either side to hold it up with a hole in the middle for a chair to fit. Each sink has its own medicine cabinet that has a mirror that is marvelously cleaned. Looking back at it all I get a great sense that I am at a military academy, and they take pride in everything they do, even something as little as cleaning their

This classroom is much larger than some of the other classrooms in the building, probably because it used to have science laboratory capabilities. The classroom is inviting, with a Breakfast at Tiffany’s poster and quote lining one wall, and every day, an inspirational quote that illuminates her smart board that helps inspire students before the start of class. In addition, there is a teacher’s desk at both the front and back ends of the room, and the room is built to house about 30…

Room 0742 is a studio design room located in king pavilion at the Iowa State University college of design. In a way it represents the beginning of my journey at Iowa State, for it is the first class room I had ever been in as a student, and its represents hours and hours of hard work and dedication to my major. The space itself physically is not a room by traditional means it has no doors and stall like walls that rise above the ground six to eight inches as well as an opening at the top.…

Many guests attend with their families and some guests even attend with literal broken hearts, in an attempt to repair them. Walking through the corridors, you start to feel a headache from the lights above you that make the corridor too bright for your eyes. The corridor, filled with stale air, has an undertone of strong chemicals.…
