The dormitory door’s wide open, strangers walking amongst students, a faint alcohol aroma fills the hall, and residents untamed while chaos runs amok. There will always be rule benders and breakers, but a little guidance goes a long ways. Colleges have the right enforce rules in order to keep the community and students safe. Having too much freedom for one individual will end in disorder and or in utter disarray. Face it; the human race could not live in unity with itself without proper management. Likewise, polices such as doors being locked, quiet hours, and no alcohol permitted on campus are needed to ensure protection for college students and community. By legal law this young adolescent is eligible to consume any category of an alcoholic substance. However, policy states that on campus liquor is unacceptable and if found said substances can and will be fined a set amount. The leaders of the college would likely love to believe that older students would not distribute alcohol to minors. Yet the human race is designed to test the regulations that are set forth for safety reasons. At this point in a young adults life they must begin to discover their own pathways. Even with the careful assistance of guidelines, some students fall short of expectations. Not only are they breaking the law by partaking in mischievous behavior; the student is consuming harmful liquid that can cause health related illness. Alcohol can impair ones judgment as well as an overall misconception of that night or even worse their life. People might debate that a student will find and retrieve liquor even if the rules undoubtedly state that it is prohibited. However, colleges need to take every necessary step to ensure the safety of their soon to be scholars. By enforcing alcohol prohibition rule they could save a life one
