Dorian's Quotion In 'The Picture Of Dorian Gray'

This quotation was important because the whole book is set in third person point of view but the author used first person point of view when he said, “ I think not.” This was the only form of first person that was used throughout the book that I saw. I started to notice the author didn’t use first person words until I found this quote and that’s why I think it is a significant part in this book. In this quotation Dorian says in his opinion, he agrees that manners are more important than morals. This quotation is important to the audience of the book because it reveals the type of character Dorian is.
