Doogle And Brother Research Paper

Brother taught Doodle how to do humanly things he would otherwise never been able to do. Even though Brother had to do with Doodle’s death which was an accident. Brother is a good brother to Doodle because of his dedication to helping Doodle become normal.

Brother spent endless hours helping Doodle to walk and to be like a normal boy. Brother took lots of his own time to help Doodle walk. Doodle was never to be able to even stand up all the doctors said. Brother was embarrassed to have an invalid brother so he set to prove everyone wrong and teach Doodle to walk while, Doodle and brother kept the whole thing from their parents. “Oh you can walk” I said, and I took him by the arms and stood him up (Hurst 3). Brother always wanted a brother to do things with. Doodle couldn’t exactly do all the normal things in life we all take for granted such as walking. Brother used Doodle to make him happy. When he did something nice for Doodle it made Brother feel good about himself. But Doodle and Brother needed each other to be happy. “Doodle told everyone that it was I who taught him to walk, so everyone wanted to hug me, and I began to cry” (Hurst 3). If Doodle and Brother didn’t have each other they wouldn’t be successful. Doodle relied on brother for teaching him how to be normal and to be his friend. Brother relied on Doodle to be his brother and his student he could teach and bond with. Brother took it to his own pride he was going to make Doodle his “normal” brother.
