Dont Judge My Path If You Haven T Walked My Journey

An anonymous person once said “Don’t judge my path if you haven’t walked my journey.” Scout has to think about this quote when learning about different characters in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. To Kill a Mockingbird was written about a little girl living in Maycomb Alabama in 1930. She and her brother are obsessed with Arthur Radley, a recluse living with his older brother Nathan Radley. Scout's father is a lawyer and has to defend a black man named Tom Robinson, accused of raping Mayella Ewell, Bob Ewell's daughter. The jury says Tom is guilty and he is thrown in jail then murdered. After the trial Scout has to participate in a play for Halloween, on her way home her and her brother gets attacked by Bob Ewell. To save the children Arthur Radley comes out of his house and stabs Bob. This story is filled with many controversial events that provide lessons for children. Her brother tells rumors that Arthur was in a gang, stabbed his father in the leg, and feasted on animals. After Jem, Scout’s brother, tells her these things, she becomes determined on finding out what he looks like in person. She and her brother try so many times to see Boo, by sneaking in his yard and looking in the window, they give up. After the trial with Tom Robinson, Bob Ewell threatens Atticus but no one thinks he will do anything. Scout and Jem are walking back from the play, at night, Scout was in and got attacked by Bob Ewell. He tried to stab Scout and broke Jem’s arm. Boo came out and stabbed Bob Ewell and killed him then carried Jem to Atticus. After the doctor came and checked out Jem and Scout everyone went home. Boo asked Scout to walk him home.
