Donna Bernard Monologue Analysis

Decent Essays
Today I am going to talk, in very abridged form, a little bit about my experience of getting to know the amazing person who goes by the name of Cecilia Bernard, and what I have learned about her over the past three years of knowing her, which was both a fortunate and unfortunate event. Fortunate, obviously, because I got to meet her and see everything great about her. Unfortunate, though, as it took me as long as it did to meet her. What I first learned about her is that she was very open and inviting. I found this out on the way to New Orleans. Hard to believe but I used to be more shy than I am now. But that didn’t stop her from making sure I was included in conversation, even as we watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.To this day I’m not sure if I actually liked …show more content…
Another thing I learned is how much she cares for other people, even to the point that she wouldn’t want to go to the bathroom at lunch as she didn’t want people to get up. I was also able to find out how caring she was when she told me that she started crying when I got held up at the airport on the way to Ireland. Once we actually reached Ireland, I found out how truly ambitious she was, when she said that she would be upset if Hillary Clinton became president, because she wanted to be the first female president. I have additionally learned plenty of things over my time of knowing her that she exhibits nearly every time I see her, such as her great sense of humor, her love and skill of helping others, her always positive attitude, including her gratefulness and appreciation for even the littlest things. She is also quite intelligent, a great leader, and someone whom I could consider a role model. She has been a major part of this group, and when she is gone, everything around here will

I saw Sheila Brown today. She continued to exhibit paranoia and delusion. Despite her acknowledgement of ‘feeling slightly out of whack’, she was adamant that her suspicion on both of your intentions and manners were real and unrelated to her psychotic symptom. She was specifically fixated on Kimberly’s ways of talking. What concern me the most is her statement about not being hesitate to fight if anyone, including the staff, continues to disrespect her.…

A feeling of desperation and lonesomeness, coming to the realization that you would do anything and everything with all of your mental and physical power to fit in. Including changing everything that makes you who you are. Being a “Stranger in the village” is difficult to endure, and some people are not capable of handling the desolation. When moving from state to state, it’s understandable that one might feel alone, but in most circumstances after spending sometime in a new place, a person will begin to befriend new people and separating themselves from others. Most certainly that does not always happen, and in those situations is where the real problem comes to life.…
