Donn Fulton Eisele was born in Columbus, Ohio on the 23rd of June in the year 1930. He was an extraordinary astronaut, for he was in the crew that was selected to pilot in Apollo 1 in 1966. However, he was replaced for he had dislocated his shoulder during training. Shortly after, he had surgery and was again selected to join the Apollo 7 crew. What interested me about him was that even after he dislocated his shoulder, he refused to give up. He showed great resiliency and even got promoted to command module pilot during the mission. I can relate because when I get injured and can't play volleyball, or I get sick and I can't go to school, I'll try my best to catch up and be the best I can be. Especially with volleyball since I am a competitive
