YouTuber "VSauce" came out with a video called "Mario Farts". As you can imagine, there is a large amount of flatulence directed towards the Nintendo icon. Okay, so what's the deal with some silly farts you ask? Well, it's cheap and unintelligent humor. Yet, it got over 8 million views. This is exactly what Mike Judge predicted with his film Idiocracy. In addition to electing reality tv starts into office, now we're also laughing at fart jokes. Furthermore, the whole thing is racist.
Watching this particular Youtube video, you'll notice the commentary. It's obviously an exaggerated Italian accent. Since the times of early 1900's, Italians have put up with this kind of shenanigans. If someone does a stereotypical Asian accent, it's racist. But an Italian one is fine to do? Pay the Italian people some respect.
