I.INTRODUCTION-When thinking of famous renaissance people, Leonardo Da Vinci or Galileo are typically the first ones that pops in mind, but what about all the other influential and key figures in the renaissance? A renaissance artist, theologian, and with the name of Donatello, Martin Luther, and Nicolaus Copernicus are some of the other talented and influential people of the renaissance who aren’t as widely known.

II.BODY-
A. (Body paragraph #1) Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi a.k.a Donatello
1. Donatello’s bronze David
David, Donatello’s landmark work and one of the renowned sculptures of the renaissance, reintroduced the life-size nude-sculpture-in-the-round figure to be cast into bronze.
Not only was David the first life-size nude to be cast into bronze since Classical times, but it was also one of the first nude-sculpture-in-the-round in a thousand years, making it one of the most significant works in the history of western art.

Donatello's talent and contributions.
With every look and gesture of Donatello’s work, he was able to capture life itself with his powerful expressivity. Some of his famous works include; David, Judith and Holofernes, and Equestrian Statue of Gattamelata.
Donatello is credited with inventing ‘stiacciato’, translated to English as ‘flattening out’. It’s a form of relief that is highly praised and prized as a decorative component on cathedral walls and other various locations.
