Donald Trump's Speech

Improved Essays
I believe president Donald Trump focused his speech on what he wants us to start realizing about what is going on in the United States and how we the people can reconstruct our nation's capitol. During his speech president Trump kept repeating lines such as, “America first” I believe he did that on purpose because he wants the nation to come together as a whole even if many of American’s do not agree with what is going on in the world. President Trump kept on using hand gestures through his whole inauguration speech. I primarily believe because he wanted the audience to believe that he is very passionate about the words coming out of his mouth. President Trump’s introduction started of by him explaining to the audience about how he now wants

In Glenn Loury’s speech, “Is He One of Us? Reflections on Identity and Authenticity” (pp. 489-493), he delivers the 245th Opening Convocation to the students of Brown University. Loury addresses diversity, what role it plays, and the advantages it can bring to people’s lives. His supporting statements are puzzling and his justification falls short of being a well thought-out speech, as one might expect at an Opening Convocation. As his speech progresses, his direction becomes unclear with each new point he brings up.…

In this speech, Clinton addresses the people of the church. The occasion of this speech was to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s anniversary. Mr. Obama began the speech quoting the Constitution of the United States of America. This was a great way to obtain the audience’s attention. Since this was a speech for a presidential election, it was not surprising that Americans would enjoy hearing a reference to the Constitution and the American dream. Throughout the speech he made the point of a perfectly unified country being the dream and it was the dream our founding fathers had many years ago. Referencing a point a person made in the beginning, during the speech is a good tactic when wanting the audience to remember the main topic and shows relevance throughout.…
