Today, Donald Trump is one of the most well-known, and influential people in American history. Although some may argue that his popularity stems from negative exposure, it is undeniable that Donald J. Trump has innumerable influence on American society. This popularity and exposure allowed Donald Trump to become the definition of the American Dream. Both, influence and power are things that Donald Trump possess which expand his American Dream much further than his money and popularity do. Trump is debatably the most powerful man in the world today. This is because, recently Donald has been elected president of the United States. According to one article Donald has been “granted one of the most powerful offices on the planet.”(BBC 1). This expands his power further than ever before. Not only does the president of the United States run our entire country, but by being granted this position he was declared the Commander in Chief of the most powerful military the world has ever seen. One article stated that when he was sworn in to the commander in chief position he made a promise to the American people, “to return government to the people” (Shane 2).
