Donald Trump’s Immigration order has caused a few issues in both politics and religion. When Donald Trump released his executive order on immigration Christians, Jews, and Muslim leaders quickly condemned it. They believed that the order was going against their traditions and values. An issue quickly arose from Trump’s decision in religion because the leaders felt as though this decision was going against what they both practiced and believed. This resulted in an affirmation enforced by a group of evangelist which included almost 18,500 signatures, which greeted refuges. As a child Trump attended a Presbyterian church, which has now become the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Reverend J. Herbert Nelson referred to Trump’s executive order as a “miscarriage of justice” he also advised Trump to remove this order. Nelson stated that they were aware but not afraid because their faith is strong. This order expelled any refugee entrance In the United States for 120 days. Also immigration from 7 of the main Muslim countries is being ceased for three months. In his defense, Trump explained that this order wasn’t about religion but it was put in place for the country’s protection. He also stated that there are more than 40 countries that are made up of mainly Muslims that this executive order did not affect.
