The billionaire, Donald Trump, known for Trump Towers and The Trump Organization, has decided to run for the presidency in 2016. Recently, he has been criticized for making harsh remarks about Mexico, women, and illegal immigration. Many people believe that Trump shouldn’t say whatever is on his mind. People are saying how Donald Trump doesn’t have the right to say this and that but he does. In the article “First Amendment: free speech” it says “The First Amendment of the Constitution provides that Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…” (First Amendment: free speech par.1). Freedom of speech was made for a reason, for all citizens, no matter who they are, to be able to express themselves. Since Trump is a public figure people care about what he has to say. Trump has said so many comments that are hurtful it has offended and angered many people. Since Trump has been saying insulting and racist comments, people believe he shouldn’t say whatever is on his mind. Donald Trump was the host of Saturday Night Live on Nov. 7 and people like John Leguizamo couldn’t believe that NBC allowed Trump to host ‘SNL’. In the article “John Leguizamo is boycotting ‘SNL’ over Trump appearance” Robert Maclean quoted Leguizamo by saying “I won’t watch SNL anymore” (Maclean par.4). Leguizamo wants nothing to do with anything that is associated with Trump because of something Trump said that he didn’t agree with.
