Within the next ten years it is predicted that under Trump’s economic plan a total of 25 million new jobs will be created as well as a 3.5 percent growth in the economy (Gass). Trump defies critics and stands firm in his belief that nearly a 4 percent growth is achievable in an economy despite possible lurking variables (Swoyer). Evidently Donald has placed a high value on insourcing and providing jobs for americans as well as stressing to keep jobs within the United States borders. Even in an economy that is currently slowed by a number of factors including increased automation, low wage competition over seas and an aging workforce trump presents his proposal with an optimistic way to look at the economy’s potential. Innovation is the easiest way to create jobs and innovation is an area in which president elect is quite familiar (Hecker). When inquired about creating job potential Trump confidently responded, “I will fight for every last American job, [and American companies] we are going to be fighting for you because you are bringing the jobs” (Swoyer).
