Donald Trump is a man of many things, including a businessman, politician, and television personality. However, most recently and importantly, Trump is known as a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 Presidential election. He was born on June 14, 1946 and is from Queens, New York. Trump was very familiar with the business industry due to the fact that he worked for his own father, Fred Trump, during his college years as a real estate developer. Donald Trump initially announced his candidacy for the 2016 U.S. Presidential election in June of 2015 as a Republican. The world soon became familiar with his name and power as he publicized to the word his strong opinions on illegal immigration as well as free trade agreements. As the word about his beliefs spread around the United States, Trump’s votes and supporters rapidly rose, making him the top candidate for the Republican nomination. Following this big jump, he won over 19 contests in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries. Three aspects of Donald Trump’s platform as a Presidential Candidate are Abortion, Foreign Policy, and Free Trade.
Abortion is an intentional termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. When first asked his opinion on abortion, Donald Trump stated that he was “Pro-Choice”. This meaning that he was for abortion and giving the mother to make any decision she felt she needed to make.
