Donald Trump is a man of many words. His speeches consist of various ethical, emotional, and logical aspects. For example, in his RNC speech he includes lots of evidence that has to with the Republican party. The intended audience during his speeches are specifically Republicans, but on a broader scale, the whole world. Within Trump’s RNC speech, he provides lots of evidence to support his claim, however this is not inferring he does it successfully. Although, he makes it clear that he is a better candidate than Hillary Clinton, his main purpose for conducting these type of speeches is to guarantee votes come November. Trump tries to persuade his audience to vote for him by using different techniques that appeal to their feelings and senses, …show more content…
Trump is known for wearing red ties with black suits as the color red may represent the passion Trump contains when talking about a certain topic or even just the presidency in general. This color could also be a symbol of disillusionment because often the color red has to do with hate and deception. His body language, obviously not present when just reading the speech but when watching it, tends to have a more aggressive aspect to it. As Donald Trump appears passionate to some people, he is seen as annoying and arrogant to others. This is very contradicting as viewers do not know how to interpret Donald Trump’s speeches and harsh phrases. Trump says that, “His plan is the exact opposite of the radical and dangerous immigration policy of Hillary Clinton. Americans want relief from uncontrolled immigration. Communities want relief”, which targets the Republicans as the main audience (Trump). This is humorous because Hillary Clinton is more of an average citizen than Donald Trump has ever been. Although some people believe Trump is passionate and assertive, he remains uncertain of his political …show more content…
Trump wants to make the American people feel wanted by describing personal events, but it just makes him seem more unstable. Also, Trump appeals to the viewer’s senses by describing situations that have occurred previously in the United States, but does not provide solutions as to how they can be resolved. These topics include many controversial subjects such as taxes and immigration. Donald Trump wants to be seen as a trustworthy candidate, but he makes the audience feel excluded and distant in his plan to “make America great

Trump started out strong and composed but I think he lost his temperament throughout the night. He accused Clinton of not having a good temperament but from the debate that I watched I witnessed the opposite. As the other editorials have stated, along with Tory Newmyer, Trump came out strong in the beginning, but it soon went downhill from there. Newmyer stated that, “Clinton moved from the start to stick Trump in his softest spot: his business dealing.” Trump is all about his businesses and investments.…

Making America Great Again In his first ten days in office, the concept of "Trump's America" has shown itself already to be significantly different from any President prior and potentially any future, and his inauguration speech acted as a key method of setting the stage for this. Every four years on January 20th at 12pm is officially the beginning of a new presidency. People from all over the world come together as one, as they vigilantly await the inaugural speech that would presumably indicate the intentions of their future as a nation.…

Born in New York on June 14th, 1946, Donald Trump is a world famous, republican businessman who is well known by the media as being a considerably outspoken man, who isn’t afraid to voice his opinion about any issue, no matter how ridiculous his opinion may be. He is no different in his book, Time to Get Tough- Making America #1 Again. Throughout his book, Donald Trump makes sure to mention, numerous times, that President Obama has failed the United States, and provides suggestions that he believes will fix America and the problems President Obama has created.…

The most interesting detail I learned from the books is that a candidate being able to connect with voters is one of the most important things a candidate must do to win the presidency. It can be seen in the 1992 election as Clinton was able to connect with people and make them believe that change was possible. Bush in this election was unable to connect and so even though he was president when the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union fell, he was unable to win the presidency. I believe this connects quite perfectly with the current election. Donald Trump was able to maybe not necessarily connect with voters, but he able to connect more than Hillary Clinton was able to.…

For example, Trump refers to the Government Accountability Office to prove that there were three million arrests in the year 2011 that were attached to the alien population of America, all including murders, beatings and rapes (Trump 2). His referral to an official organization betters his background knowledge on immigration in the United States, which shows his audience that he understands what his words mean. Donald Trump also uses statistics to back up his information, such as explaining how today, nearly 40 percent of black teenagers and 30 percent of Hispanic teenagers are unemployed, which proves that America’s immigration policies have ruined the middle class, even though they are the major backbone of America itself. Opposing Trump’s speech, the New York Times article also provides strong, credible sources to provide their own…

Trump kills two birds with one stone in that line alone. He says that Bernie Sanders is a maniac and therefore, Hilary must be as well because they share similar views. Trump even goes as far as saying that he would call Sanders a communist, he plays to the crowds side by saying that the democrats are, "going to tax you people at 90%, [they will] take everything!"…

The slogan that propelled Donald Trump into his influence across the nation, “make America great again,” shows that Trump sees America has fallen downhill and has hopes to improve it. Trump wants to see this country go back to the prosperous country it once was, but he does not know how to filter his words according to most, which makes him seem frightening. Despite Clinton’s accusation about the risk of Donald Trump, his clever use of scare tactics gives voters a sense of security because of his ideas concerning immigration and terrorism. According to Molly Ball, author of “Donald Trump and the Politics of Fear,” Donald Trump uses fear to his advantage in hopes of winning the presidential election.…
