Donald Trump Transcultural Issues

Decent Essays
A transcultural environment that I have experienced is related with the presidential candidate Donald Trump. I think that Trump is a very doubtful candidate in these elections. He is been using racist terms and stereotypes in his campaign. On one hand, he claims that his is a rich and successful business man that can make him a good president. On other hand, his offensive comments has shown that he has no experience in politics. First, he comes with this crazy idea of building a wall on the border of the United States and wants Mexico government to pay for it. Second, he wants to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. Third, he wants to end birthright citizenship. Forth, he thinks Obama is a foreign born Muslim. Next, he thinks that

He starts his speech with a quick thank you to the people in the crowd for the support they have given his administration in the race for the presidency and after the race was won. On June 16, 2015 when you announced that you were running for president, you shocked the nation. Starting off your presidential campaign by dehumanizing and alienating the entire Latino race was a great tactic to get attention from the media. Will you make fun of African Americans, Asians, Middle Eastern and Europeans saying that the white race is superior?…

Donald Trump was an unexpected runner for this year’s presidential election. At first, many people thought his running for the presidency was a joke. Unfortunately, as time went on, what many thought to be a joke suddenly became more serious as more and more people began to show him support and he shows no sign of dropping out anytime soon. Which is unfortunate since much of what he says is far from being presidential, let alone professional. From what I’ve seen of his speeches and debates, he often makes terrible statements about other candidates as well as other groups of people, building off of peoples hate to rally more support.…

Thoreau believes that because Concordians lead a life of “quiet desperation”, they are living a life with no hope and not living to their fullest potential. According to the text, “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation… From the desperate city you go into the desperate country, and have to console yourself……

In “Empire of Illusion” by Chris Hedges, Hedges states that “the most essential skill...is artifice.” The dictionary definition of artifice can be paraphrased as using tricks to deceive others, someone who is clever or cunning; though I wouldn’t use clever as a description of someone who is artifice. From personal experience, being artifice is not something that can help you, matter of a fact, it can kill. Many use artifice to use others to their own benefits, even if it means turning an entire population against another.…

How Fear Drives American Politics, a speech by David Rothkopf, is an enlightening viewpoint of the American government’s responses to terrorism in the 21st century. In his speech, Rothkopf conveys an observation that he has been aided in discovering by his unique vantage point of growing up a Jewish boy in New Jersey amid the fear of global thermo-nuclear war in the 1950‘s. His observation is this; Fear is one of the front-running catalysts for change in governmental, social, and societal changes in America. These changes in his opinion have come for the better, and worse in different situations throughout history. The Cold War gave birth to a heightened nuclear program, our space program, the interstate system, and the Internet.…
