Donald Trump: The Role Of Ethics In American Society

Ethics is the science behind one’s moral principles in which shape how they act, believe and think. This is effected by the inner, personal and physical environment around them. Interactions between the self, peers, others may alter and affect those changes. Ethics in itself is the knowledge of determining what is good and what is bad. Throughout one’s process in growing up, we are taught how to be an ethical and responsible being within society. We are taught that we should be nice and respectful towards others. We are taught what we should not to do to offend those around us. Through developing our moral compass over time, we gradually become aware as to how to behave as positive social creatures within society yet our society itself plays a huge role in changing our learnings and at times can contrast to those learnings.
The current political and social climate in American society has been a defining cause of the divide between individuals, changing and exposing much of the realities of America.The presidential campaign and election of Donald Trump became a catalyst for racial, social, political and economic divides amongst different classes of people, raising issues that have been swept away or belittled within our society.
