Donald Trump, is he really the president that he says he is? Has President Trump really accomplished all that he says he has? Will Donald Trump be able to stay true to his word of all that he will accomplish during his presidency? Donald Trump’s first State of the Union Address was given on January 22, 2018. The State of the Union Address is an annual address that is written in our country’s constitution. For starters, Donald Trump addressed many domestic policies, like trade, immigration, and more. Immigration is not only in relevance to non-US citizens but also US citizens but is a controversial topic. On one hand many would say the policies Trump wants to inforce are perfect but on the other hand, others would beg to differ saying these policies are not the correct angle to tackle this problem in the US. Next the four pillars that Trump asked for to accomplish a bipartisanship would affect non-US citizens living in out out of the United States. The four pillars that Trump has asked for have brought a bit of controversy with them. For example, the wall, one of these four pillars, will be expensive being said it is an unneeded cost and environmentalists believe it will destroy the already broken ecosystem on the border. Although Donald Trump’s speech did bring controversy he avoid many controversial topics. One example of him avoid topics would be the Russian interference with the presidential election.
