Well if you didn’t know, Donald Trump is running for presidency in 2016, and his actions are leading the public to believe he is not fit for the job, since he has already broken one of the ten amendments with his demands. This is why Donald Trump shouldn’t be president. The first amendment is the right to the freedom of speech, and religion. According to MSNBC, he broke the amendment by calling a “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what’s going on”. The wave of foreigners has kept the country rich and young, filled with different cultures, and a variety of trends to pick from. Immigration, had helped the USA with their economy, giving them international clients and has enhanced their trade and investments from other countries. Contrary to popular belief, immigrants don’t push Americans out of jobs, they fill the ones they can’t or will not take, from both high and low of the skill spectrum. If immigration had proved to be such a positive gain to the country, then why would a candidate want to change that? Well Donald Trump is either dense or has not done enough research to back up the following statements that he has said. According to CNBC he said he’s going to build a wall with a “big, fat, beautiful door on the wall” where they’re going to have people to come in but they’re going to have to come in legally”. He also announced that Mexico will be paying for the wall because “their leaders are much sharper, much smarter that our leader.” He backed up wanting to build the wall by saying “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best, they are sending people that have a lot of problems, and they’re bringing the problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume are good

Trump believes that illegal immigration is destroying U.S. taxpayers, and he believes that neither Republicans nor Democrats are helping the situation. Republicans don’t do anything about illegal immigration because some of their business supporters want cheap labor. Democrats look at illegal immigrants as potential Democratic voters (135-136). Both Democrats and Republicans may have their reasons for illegal immigrants to stay, but Donald Trump thinks that the parties need to put America’s interests first and that illegal immigrants need to return from whence they came. Trump then continues to discuss that illegal immigrants are by definition, lawbreakers, and refers to them as “illegal aliens” due to the fact that illegal immigrants are often members or violent gangs.…

This shows the purpose of Trump’s side of the argument, which is that he wants to improve America by reducing illegal immigration rates by having a permanent border wall and increase fees on all border crossings. Following up on his belief, Trump wants to construct the new immigration policy that will, in his opinion, return the safety of laws for the American people. The immigration policy also proposes the mandatory return of all criminal aliens currently subsiding in the United States. Trump recognized the Obama Administration for releasing 76,000 aliens from custody of committing criminal convictions since 2013, but still wants to continue on that action by having all criminal aliens to be deported to their home countries by cancelling visas and adding an additional committed crime to being in a country illegally (Trump 3). This further contributes to Trump’s purpose to reduce illegal immigration in the United States and putting all American citizens as a priority in this country.…

In 2014, there were 11.3 million illegal immigrants in the United States (“5 Facts About Illegal Immigration in the U.S.”). That number currently makes up 3.5% of the U.S. population. The issue of illegal immigrants has been brought up recently in the 2016 presidential campaign race by a Republican candidate, Donald Trump. Trump proposed the idea that he would build a wall along the Mexican border to prevent illegal entrance into our country. An immigration restriction such as a wall/barrier is not a reasonable approach to prevent illegal immigration because historically these walls have not worked, they cost too much money to build and maintain, and they do not completely prevent people from crossing over.…

Addressing the first principle, he wants to fortify the United States’ southern border by constructing a wall along the border, and wants the Mexican government to pay for the wall. Secondly, the laws that the American government makes regarding immigration need to upheld and no one is above the law. In order to do so, Trump calls for “tripling the Immigrant and Customs Enforcement officers, e-verifying the nation, mandatory return of all criminal aliens, the detainment of illegals caught crossing the border, the defunding of sanctuary cities, enhance penalties for those who overstay their visa, cooperate with local task gang task forces, and end birthright citizenship” (“Immigration Reform”). Lastly, Donald Trump wants to use legislation to put American workers first.
